His first solo album since 2009′s The Blueprint III, Magna Carta Holy Grail drops on July 7th (July 4th if you own a Samsung phone with the appropriate application). About two weeks away, Jay and his team have created a search for the song titles of the project in Hov’s hometown, Brooklyn. As a result, a (possible) but likely track-list has surfaced.
Check out the track-list below, which we already know features production from Timbaland, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Rubin. It has been reported that Boi-1da has also made contributions to the project.
In the promo video for the upcoming album, Rubin notes that once you own a lot, you begin to realize none of it matters. This sets Holy Grail up to be an anti-Watch the Throne of sorts, or at least an album that spends less time illustrating extensive luxuries and wealth. I’m definitely excited to see what Jay brings to the table.
Update: Added official track list with features.
